Fees

I publish my fees because I think you should be able to work out whether counselling is affordable for you without having to ask.

Free introductory call

Free 15 minute introductory call. There is no charge and no obligation.

It is a chance to describe what is going on, ask anything you want, and get a sense of whether I am the right person. Fit matters more than credentials in this work, and if I am not the right fit I will say so and try to point you somewhere better.

Session fee

[session fee] per 50-minute session, the same rate for in-person and online.

Sessions are usually weekly, at the same time each week, which gives the work continuity.

Payment

Payment is by bank transfer, due on or before the day of the session. I will give you the details after our first appointment.

Cancellation

I know that life interferes. If something unavoidable comes up, tell me and we will sort it out.

Reviewing fees

I review my fees once a year. If they change, I will tell you at least one month in advance, and the new rate will never apply retrospectively.

If cost is the obstacle

If the fee is what is stopping you, say so when you get in touch. I keep a small number of lower-cost spaces and I will tell you honestly whether one is free. If not, I can suggest lower-cost services worth approaching.
